Yellowthorn was originally named for the most stunning part of her appearance: her eyes. They shine a bright golden-yellow, and particularly stand out in the darkness of the night, especially when the moon is reflecting off of them. Still, not many people get to see the full beauty of them, because they are almost always narrowed in disdain.[/sub]
Yellowthorn's pelt is long, thick, and keeps her very warm in harsh conditions. However, this is a disadvantage when Greenleaf hits full on, especially since the color of her coat tends to absorb sunlight. Speaking of color, Yellowthorn is a pale gray she-cat with an eggshell white underbelly and front socks. Her tail is rather short, and adorned with the same thick fur as the rest of her body, giving her the appearance of a rabbit from far away.
Minor details on this stunning she-cat include a pink and black nose, thick, white, wiry whiskers sticking from her maw and eyebrows, and pawpads the color of a raven, but with the feeling of a lizard's scales. Her claws are just as dark as her pupils, and sharp enough to terrify most young, and even more experienced cats.
WHAT ARE YOU LIKE?
Yellowthorn wasn't just named because of her yellow eyes. You see, her leader decided to give her the suffix, thorn, because of her fiery personality. As you may have guessed, Yellowthorn is not the nicest cat on the block. In fact, she's a force you never want to mess with, much less be around. Egotistical, arrogant, and overall nasty, Yellowthorn likes to exploit the weaknesses of others, bashing them down with harsh words until they are weak at the mind. This usually isn't a problem with the senior warriors and leaders, but when it comes to apprentices, Yellowthorn has a reputation of being the nastiest, hardest to work with mentor in all of ShadowClan history. Regardless, Yellowthorn has proven time and time again that she is a skilled, and highly talented warrior, and there is no apprentice that comes out of her training that is not blessed with some of her skills.[/sub]
Yellowthorn however, is not all as nasty as she is perceived. In the deepest parts of her being, Yellowthorn is incredibly insecure due to her stressful upbringing. She also is furiously protective of her clan, though, she obviously does not show it well, even to her own kin. Over the moons she has been a warrior, Yellowthorn has stepped up to take charge of situations, often being the voice of confidence in battle by demanding her clan work harder, or even just making the lazier cats wake up for their patrols. It is clear that, while prickly on the outside, Yellowthorn's intentions are as good as any other ShadowClan warriors'.
