"In the night the shadow may rule the skies but when the light falls upon the earth, all is reborn."
The clans have been peaceful for moons as the prey has been abundant and the clans striving with new life. But ThunderClan's so called new 'leader' is slowly trying to twist the Clans into his own world, hoping to grab some loyal puppets along the way. Meet Sabrestar: a large tabby tom with teeth so long and so sharp he lives up to his namesake.
Several moons ago, this tom was struck with a realization. Their leader, Barkstar, was a disgusting piece of trash; he had been flirting with Sabrefang's mate recently, and it would not go unnoticed. He challenged the leader, and in the process of the fight, managed to capture the tom in his unforgiving jaws. He held tight, watching as the light left Barkstar's eyes nine times.
Having been the deputy at the time, it was only natural that he took his place as leader of ThunderClan, but upon his journey to Moonstone, he was left with a warning: "In the night the shadow may rule the skies but when the light falls upon the earth, all is reborn."
In short, he was not granted his nine lives.
Upset by this, Sabrefang went back home, but instead of admitting that he was not chosen to be leader, he played the role, claiming he had received his lives and was now Sabrestar. Angry with StarClan, this now twisted by vengeance leader wanted to do everything in his power to make his ancestors upset. He was going to destroy StarClan, and every Clan's beliefs in them. He was going to rule both the skies and the earth.
Thus began his reign of terror.
It didn't take long for Sabrestar to make his first move in his plan. Immediately, he recruited Barkstar's son, the new warrior Sparrowdash, as Deputy. With kind words and praises, he eventually made this young warrior into his right hand man, making him forget the former leader and any malice he might have for Sabrestar with it. Besides, if Barkstar's own son didn't even hate him, what reasons would the rest of the clan have?
And it worked. Because Sparrowdash and Sabrestar were partners in crime, the rest of the Clan followed suit, unsuspecting of Sabrestar's plan to change all their lives as they knew it.... and with an iron claw to boot.***
ThunderClan is not the only Clan in trouble however. There are problems arising in the other Clans, shortage of food and unwanted guests may push all the Clans over the edge in the next coming moons, not to mention that Sabrestar's influence is stretching to other places.... perhaps even in the very clan you walk in.
However, hope is not all lost. Some cats have noticed change in the winds. Something is coming.... so what side will you be on? Sabrestar's mighty reign of terror, or the meager numbers of the resistance?
