Lilybreeze was laying inside the nursery, again her stomach was plump. Really she looked like a creamy berry with fur. Usually it was worth looking like this and feeling tired all the time when you had someone to share it with. But only moons after she got pregnant her love, Black Thunder disappeared the feeling of abandonment surged through her mind like a tidal wave, and her head dropped onto her paws. She hated feeling this way, and to make matters worse she still had to pretend to be Sabrestar's mate. To add to that he thought these kits were his, and to protect Black Thunder she only agreed. The pretty cream and grey she-cat sighed, turning her neck to groom at her chest fur. Her paws were sore for the pregnancy, the last time she was pregnant she hadn't been this big or this sore. Though last time she had two kits now, she wasn't sure how many she carried now. Four? Nuzzling her own paw with her nose, one tear fell from her striking blue optics. She was angry and upset all at the same time, how could he leave her like this?
She could feel the prickling anger static through her pelt like sparks. She couldn't stay in here and mope around like this, it wasn't healthy. It took her a bit to get to her paws and she sort of wobbled her way outside of the milk scented den of hers. The morning sun greeted the female and she blinked a few times before they dilated and adjusted to the light. Looking around she could see most of her clanmates leaving the camp for a patrol, her eyes locked on Sparrowdash at the head of the group. She smiled lightly he was a lot like his father, he just didn't know it yet. Flicking her ears forward as their pawsteps faded outside the camp, all was quiet in ThunderClan again. Stretching out her legs a bit, she walked out towards the center. Her paw pads ached but she took the pain of it all. She couldn't wait until they were born then she could get her figure back and be able to carry herself easily. Sitting down with a soft thud she licked at her fur to keep it glossy and kept.
Letting her gaze land on her stomach she knew it would not be long until these kits were born, which she knew would be a slightly longer labor the last one. Possibly more painful, lifting a paw she licked at it quickly and drew it over her white whiskers. Her tail curved and fell over her paws like a slight cloud. Her ears twitched forward slightly at the sounds of the forest above her. She made an oof sound as she felt a kick and took in a breath. "Now, now calm down in there."
she mewed her voice silky and warm as she brushed a tail over her stomach, as if they listened they settled down. The grey mask on her mask looked a beautiful ash color against her bright blue orbs. The sun warmed her back and slowly relaxed her muscles. She let her eyes droop slightly at the warmth it felt so good. Sadly this was the most comfort she got now a days. Sliding slowly down onto her stomach she laid propped up on her side. Blinking at a slight spasm, she knew it defiantly wouldn't be long now, every time she thought about it she wondered about Black Thunder, was there a reason why he left? Or was he tired of her now that he got this from her? Closing her eyes she tried to banish all of these unpleasant thoughts from her mind.[/blockquote] [/blockquote][/sub]

Peachpaw emerged from apprentices den in a really good mood. his mentor had came and told him that he was to go on patrol with the group that Sparrowdash was leading. This is my chance! Peachpaw told himself as he walked towards the camp entrance. Peachpaw was close to becoming a warrior. He wanted to show the deputy that he was capable to be a warrior. then maybe Sparrowdash could tell Sabrestar, and then he could become a warrior! Peachpaw imagined himself being among the warriors and practically jumped for joy. Peachpaw passed the nursery and saw Lilybreeze, the pregnant queen that should be due any day now. Peachpaw remembered when Barkstar was Lilybreeze's mate before he died. Peachpaw couldn't really get the idea out of his head that for some reason Lilybreeze never seemed happy when she was with Barkstar. Then Black Thunder came and left and then Barkstar died. When Lilybreeze meowed, she broke Peachpaw out of his thinking trance. "Now, now calm down in there." Lilybreeze meowed to her belly and brushed her tail over it too. Peachpaw decided to have a quick talk with Lilybreeze before he went over with the other cats for patrol. "Hello, Lilybreeze." Peachpaw meowed to the queen. "How are you feeling?" He hoped to get to know the queen a little better, because Peachpaw liked to talk. Maybe she would talk to him.

Looking Inside, Digging In Deep. Holding On Tight, To All That Is Me....
"My empire is growing," a voice whispered. No one heard it though, and it was likely that no one ever would, at least, not until it was clear and set in stone that the forest was Sabrestar's. A smirk worked its way onto his face as he watched Sparrowdash lead a patrol out of camp. Oh yes, everything was going so according to plan that Sabrestar was beyond satisfied with himself. He was, and always would be, the best in the forest. After his plan was finished, not even StarClan would be able to defy him. Nine lives? Ha! They would give him one-hundred as they begged for mercy....
Sabrestar's tail swished behind him as stray thoughts leaked into his head. The omen that StarClan had left him... that he would be taken down by the earth, puzzled him. But he wasn't that stupid. He'd successfully eliminated anyone who he saw as a threat to his throne. Everyone... including his two brothers. Thornpelt, the oldest of the three of them, was easy to lure into the wrong spot at the right time. Sabreheart had lead his foolish brother to loner territory, where a cat by the name of Saffron all too eagerly did his dirty work. Black Thunder, however, was a bit more difficult to get rid of. He was the youngest, but his smarts and strength went beyond his years.
And so Sabrestar had him captured by the very creature that could outmatch his strength... human beings. Yes, with careful planning and bribing kittypets, he'd managed to trap his youngest brother far away in the captivity of a twoleg nest.
At last, the patrol set off, leaving Sabrestar alone in the camp with his mate, or so he thought. You see, Sabrestar was no fool. Part of the reason he had so eagerly gotten rid of his younger brother was precisely the reason Lilybreeze was in the nursery. He was no fool. He knew by the way they looked at each other that they'd courted.
The kits Lilybreeze was carrying were not his.
And that disgusted him.
"She'll pay for it, won't she?" he sneered. With that thought in mind, he leapt off the highrock and padded towards the nursery. The fact was, that Sabrestar couldn't bring himself to kill Lilybreeze for betraying him... he still loved her, somewhere. Or maybe he was just too attracted to her flowery smell... but it didn't matter. She would be punished. If not her, then her kits.
And there was no brother to get in his way now.
"Lilybreeze?" he cooed affectionately, innocently, as if he was ignorant to the true nature of the kits sitting in his mate's stomach. To his surprise, Peachpaw was inside the nursery as well. Well, that was unexpected, but it hardly mattered. Peachpaw was a good apprentice. Ignorant enough to trust him and soon to be a powerful warrior under his reign. "Oh hello Peachpaw," he greeted. "Since you got here before me, want to fill me in on how my beautiful Lily is doing?"

Lily looked at the bulge in her stomach, part of her was worried. She could always sense when bad things were going to happen and some part of her was scared for their birth. She was determined, however, to keep them safe no matter what. Her eyes flickered over to where her so called mate was asleep, the thought of him sort of disgusted her. He used Sparrowdash to his advantage that much she knew. He was hiding something from her, with good reason she might add. She had a feeling he suspected things but not fully pieced them together, he was clever. Perhaps to clever, but StarClan surely would not leave them with nothing, right? When Tigerstar tried to rule the forests those many moons past he was destroyed. She had to keep hope alive in her heart that something would happen, it was almost as if Lily herself was a kindle of light in the darkness. While others hopelessly wandered in its veil she stood out amongst the rest. Perhaps that is what drew the evil tom to her, like a moth to a flame. The whole thing gave her shivers but she quickly calmed herself.
Her ears flicked forward as a sound of pawsteps echoed in her ears. The soft crunching of pads against the grass distracted her enough to turn and find Peachpaw coming her way. A soft and warm smile was place among her lips and she slightly tilted her head forward as he approached her. "Hello, Lilybreeze."
he spoke and she let her soothing blue optics land on his face. "Evening Peachpaw." she mewed her tone calm and inviting as she glanced over in Sparrows direction, the tabby tom stopped to look at Peachpaw and then there eyes met. He smiled lightly and nodded before walking out of camp. He would be waiting outside camp for the apprentice. Turning her attention back on the ginger and white tom she purred. "Going on patrol I see. Won't be long now till you join the ranks of a warrior." she mewed giving him the recognition she could see he craved. Lily had a good way of reading people, it was as if StarClan granted her the gift of seeing, almost like a sixth sense of it really, detecting things normal cats would over look. "How are you feeling?" Focusing out of her thoughts and onto the apprentice she gave a soft sigh. "Im alright, coping well I think considering how many of them must be in there." she mewed her tone soft yet it seemed weary of the whole thing, not like she was bored but just tired of holding so much weight. In truth Lily loved being a queen, it was far more of her calling than anything else. She flicked her striking blue optics to a tabby face. Noticing the sneer melting off Sabrestar's maw. He knew something, and for a moment she was terrified, but completly erased it the next moment. She smiled politely as the leader came over. Her name rolled off his tongue adoringly. Yea right, you don't mean it. she thought bitterly though part of her did believe it. She searched his eyes as he came towards her, she did not believe he would harm her well not physically, but emotionally she wasn't so sure. Her tail curled over her stomach, she made it seem out of habit like if she felt she was fat or something, though really it was to protect them somehow. As long as they were inside they were safe. "Since you got here before me, want to fill me in on how my beautiful Lily is doing?" Lily let her mind play off the whole scene in a more flirtatious way. Might as well get his blood boiling, in a good way. rather than anything else. She let her eyes droop slightly in a warm manner and purred lightly. "I think the berry of a queen can speak for herself." she mewed giving a slight laugh and rested her blue gaze on the tom cat. "Im doing well though I am a bit tired, but then full of energy all at the same time." she cooed and turned to lick at her shoulders a few times. [/blockquote] [/blockquote][/sub]

Peachpaw watched Lilybreeze look towards him and smile. He smiled back, and let himself gaze at her beautiful blue eyes. "Evening Peachpaw." Lilybreeze meowed calmly. "Going on patrol I see. Won't be long now till you join the ranks of a warrior." she mewed. Peachpaw puffed up his chest proudly. It made him happy that someone else agreed that he would be joining the warriors soon. Lilybreeze answered his question about how she felt. "I'm alright, coping well I think considering how many of them must be in there." she mewed, her tone soft. Peachpaw wondered how queens could cooperate with young kits all the time. Kits always bugged him to death about how being an apprentice was, and it really annoyed him. And kits always got into trouble. Peachpaw could remember him and his sister getting into so much trouble that they had to be stuck in the nursery for what seemed like forever. He purred to himself. being a kit was always so fun and carefree, and sometimes he missed being a kit. but he couldn't go back to being a kit, and soon he just decided that being an apprentice was much better. of course, being a warrior would be much better. Peachpaw was about to ask Lilybreeze how she could stand her belly being so heavy when he heard a low voice behind him say, "Lilybreeze?" And he recognized Sabrestar's voice and instantly turned around. "Oh hello Peachpaw," Sabrestar greeted "Since you got here before me, want to fill me in on how my beautiful Lily is doing?" He told Peachpaw gulped, and was about to answer him when Lilybreeze interrupted him. "I think the berry of a queen can speak for herself," She mewed giving a slight laugh. "I'm doing well though I am a bit tired, but then full of energy all at the same time." She cooed, and turned to lick at her shoulders. Peachpaw waited for Sabrestar to say something back, and then he would have to leave for the patrol.

"Excellent!" Sabrestar chimed, his voice as innocent as any kit's might be. He shot a smile towards his beloved, but then remembered... she was not harboring his kits as she should be. She was carrying the spawn of his brother. Black Thunder. Sabrestar resisted the urge to accuse her right then and there, instead turning towards Peachpaw with the same smile plastered to his face.
"Peachpaw," he said calmly. "How are things going without your mentor around? I know it must be hard for you with Black Thunder, and I just wanted to make sure all was okay with your new mentor." Inwardly, he smirked at his little scheme. Guilt. He'd guilt trip Lilybreeze till she begged him for forgiveness... and if that didn't work, well....
I guess my claws are going to be a bit dirtier, he thought maliciously. Still, no ounce of that seeped onto Sabrestar's face. For the last few moons, his acting had become perfected. He was used to his role as leader... as if he'd been playing it all his life. Manipulating the strings of others gave him an exhilarating rush that he couldn't explain, and StarClan was his main target for all his puppets.
"It has been tough without him around for me. My beloved little brother. I must have pushed him too hard. Shame he abandoned the Clan...." Sabrestar trailed off, casting his eyes to the ground as if in sorrow, however, a very, very unnoticeable smirk stretched across his face. This was too fun.

Blinking the doubled layer eyelids open in an uneven pattern, Shadowpaw surveyed the blurred den with mild to no interest. The blurred hazy view of the caves interior cleared over to show a few apprentices still cuddled close to themselves in a ball of unconscious fluff. A few lone moss nests were emptied out, the cat who’d been lying there now out and about in the camp or on patrol.
Licking his rough tongue lightly over his soft cheek fur, whiskers curling backwards in reaction, Shadowpaw blinked at the thought that it was about time for him to wake up. He felt like resting his head back down to sleep, but hated how the soft moss underneath his body felt stale, as if it was needing renewal.
Groaning low under his breath as he stood up on all fours, Shadowpaw began to groggily walk towards the den entrance. Maneuvering past the sharp branches that covered the entrance to the den, he peeked through the leaf line quietly to get a look at the clearing.
A light fog still glittered over the rocky earth before him, only a select few cats roaming around. His eyes managed to catch his mentor getting ready to guide a patrol out of camp, Peachpaw, soon to be a warrior, walking over to what he was pretty sure was Lillybreeze. She seemed in a good amount of stress and pain, not to mention the sorrow he saw trailing off of her in waves despite how much she tried to hide it.
No… not just sorrow, but anger as well. Shifting his gaze swiftly away from the talkative pair, hating how he sensed peoples emotions so easily, he noticed the leader, grimacing before putting up his calm face again to talk to his mate.
Narrowing his eyes at the sudden change in attitude, Shadowpaw hissed his breath low. For now, he’d forget he saw anything, despite the tingling sensation of fear that crawled over his spine at the sight of his leader. There was just something… off about him…
Watching as the leader made it over to the pair by the other nursing queens, he finally eased out from the bush, stretching his feet out in front of him and purring lightly deep in his chest in satisfaction to the warm glaze of the green leaf morning sun.

Peachpaw watched as Sabrestar grinned."Excellent!" Sabrestar chimed, and Peachpaw was instantly filled with relief. he thought that Sabrestar was going to get mad. "Peachpaw," Sabretstar said calmly. "How are things going without your mentor around? I know it must be hard for you with Black Thunder, and I just wanted to make sure all was okay with your new mentor." Sabrestar meowed. Peachpaw bowed his head in sadness. Black Thunder was a wonderful mentor and had always been so nice to him... it took Peachpaw a while to get used to his new mentor after having Black Thunder for his mentor for so long. He wondered, along with the whole clan, why Black Thunder left without saying anything. "I'm doing great with my new mentor, Sabrestar. I have learned a lot from him, and I hope to learn much more." Peachpaw meowed happily. what he said was the truth. He actually did like his new mentor, but he still missed Black Thunder from time to time. Peachpaw knew that under his new mentor's guidance, he would become a warrior soon. With another surge of happiness through him, Peachpaw grinned widely and felt like he could dance. He suddenly remembered that he should be going on patrol, but he would have an excuse if he was talking to Sabrestar. Peachpaw would have to make sure to ask his mentor when he could become a warrior. With a suge of hope, Peachpaw waited for Sabrestar and Lilybreeze to talk a little more before he headed out for the patrol with Sparrowdash and his group.

Lilybreeze let her striking blue optics land on Peachpaw as he seemed ready to ask her something else but then Sabrestar broke his thoughts to ask him a question instead. "How are things going without your mentor around? I know it must be hard for you with Black Thunder, and I just wanted to make sure all was okay with your new mentor."
Lily kept herself from flinch as she knew it's what he wanted from her. She would not give him the satisfaction, none what so ever. She just smiled politely allowing Peachpaw to answer the question without any shiver or ounce of pain on her face. She seemed really at ease. A quick kick from inside sent her lowering her head a bit. "Active little ones." she explained and started to lick at her chest while the two toms talked for a bit. Her ears flicked forward as she heard noise from the apprentices den. Upon seeing Shadowpaw Lily brightened and gave the tom a warm smile. It was Sparrowdash's apprentice, they were well matched and under Sparrows guidance he would be uncorrupted. Getting to her paws she walked towards the black tom cat. "Hello Shadowpaw, I'm sure Sparrow will be wanting you on the patrol today." she mewed silkily her voice soothing and gentle as she glanced back at Peachpaw who seemed uncomfortable, with good reason to. "Peachpaw dear you shouldn't keep your deputy waiting he's a busy tom." she mewed playfully getting them both off the hook for now. Dipping her head to Shadowpaw she made her way back to Sabrestar, now if only she could get herself out being near the tom. Sitting beside the leader she rested her head on his shoulder. At least he never left her, which is more than she could say for Thunder. But she couldn't help but feel like he had something to do with it, but then Sabrestar wouldn't get rid of his own blood would he? That would be horrible and disturbing to think about. Lifting her head from his shoulder she started to lick at her paws which still sore felt good with the licking. She waited for Sabrestar to speak, if he wanted to that was. Really she didn't mind him staying or going back to plotting in his den like a rat. [/blockquote] [/blockquote][/sub]

A vile smirk made its way onto Sabrestar's maw that he didn't even try to hide when Lilybreeze came back to him, resting her head on his shoulder. Yes, she was his forever... and there was nothing Black Thunder could do about it, "Peachpaw, I believe Lily is right. You wouldn't want to keep Sparrowdash waiting. Bring Shadowpaw along with you too. It will be good training."
Once his words were put into action, Sabrestar gently lead his mate back to her nest, "Rest my dear Lily. Our new kits will be here soon, and you look exhausted. I've been meaning to come and talk to you, but you know how busy things have been lately. Trying to figure out where to move forward with the Clan. Dark times are ahead, StarClan says... and I've been desperately trying to learn more."
Though what Sabrestar didn't say was that he was the one planning on creating those dark times. But still, he couldn't get over the fact that Lilybreeze had cheated on him. And he wanted her to hurt. Not physically... not yet at least... just mentally. He was going to make her guilty.
With a big sigh, Sabrestar muttered, "It's so difficult to do things around here without my little brother... I can't believe he just left like that. I've considered sending patrols out to look for him, but you know... Black Thunder was always stubborn. If he left, he probably had a reason... and I would hate to find out if it was me."
Innocence. Pure innocence was in his voice as he turned soft eyes towards Lilybreeze... but behind those eyes was the light of vengeance... but just barely....
***
Swiftwind yawned as she gave her back a well deserved stretch. She had turned in early last night after a long day of putting in her new warrior duties. It had only been a quarter-moon since she was appointed her new name, and already, she was taking everything way too much to heart.
But that was Swiftwind. Never giving up and always looking to learn more. She was the sort of cat that would be happy to be an apprentice forever if it meant constantly learning more and more.... yet at the same time, she was relieved to have finally accomplished this feet. Her mentor had deemed her worthy of being a warrior, and she would be damned if she didn't take it seriously while she still could. She was a young cat, and young cats were meant to do more.
Bounding out of the warrior's den, Swiftwind caught sight of Shadowpaw and Peachpaw. To think that only a week ago that she'd still shared a den with them, "Hey there, Shadowpaw, Peachpaw! Catching the morning patrol? Maybe I should come too!" The she-cat shot a glance towards the entrance of the camp. It was likely that Sparrowdash was leading this morning, seeing as he wasn't in the camp currently. She was worried about the young tom, and wondered silently if she could get a chance to talk to him one of these days before Sabrestar took him aside yet again. "Shall we go guys?"
((OOC: so we'll have a patrol and some drama going in the den i guess :3))

Peachpaw heard Lilybreeze talking and glanced her way. She was talking to Shadowpaw, who Peachpaw got along with pretty well. Suddenly Lilybreeze looked his way and smiled. "Peachpaw dear you shouldn't keep your deputy waiting he's a busy tom." Lilybreeze told him. Peachpaw nodded at Lilybreeze, and knew that she was right. Then Sabrestar turned and spoke to Peachpaw. "Peachpaw, I believe Lily is right. you wouldn't want to keep Sparrowdash waiting. Bring Shadow paw along with you too. It will be good training." Sabrestar told the two toms. "Of course, Sabrestar. we will leave right away!" Peachpaw told his leader. with a dip of his head to Sabrestar and Lilybreeze, Peachpaw headed towards the camp entrance when he noticed Swiftwind bounding out of the warriors den. It wasn't that long ago that he was training and going on patrols with the new warrior, and Peachpaw felt a pang of sadness. he really did like the she-cat, but he would never tell her that. She probably didn't like him anyway. "hey there, Shadowpaw, Peachpaw! catching the morning patrol? maybe I should come too!" Swiftwind meowed, glancing at the camp entrance. "that would be great, Swiftwind! we were just about to leave, so go ahead and come with us!" Peachpaw meowed happily. "Shall we go guys?" Swiftwind told the two toms. "of course Swiftwind. Lets go!" Peachpaw meowed. the three cats headed towards the camp entrance, and Peachpaw felt happy to go on patrol with the the two cats he actually liked to think as his friends.

Shadowpaw heard the conversation with a twitch of his ear, catching random bits and pieces - quite easy to put together what the real conversation was about. Curling his tail, he came out of the stretch as if he were never listening in on the talk going on only a few minor foxtails away.
Digging his chin into his chest as his jaws opened wide in an exaggerated yawn, Shadowpaw shook his head fiercely, shaking his fur out along his body along with the tingling rush of the blood pumping through his veins. With eyes blinking to the side in wonder to the stare that he felt land on his shoulders, he noticed Lilybreeze smiling warmly towards him. As she began her slow and wobbly approach, he turned his body slightly to bow his head respectfully to the expecting mother. “Hello.” He purred in a slightly awkward and quiet voice.
He wasn’t that used to being an apprentice yet, and still wasn’t good with talking to other cats. Tingles of excitement rushed up his paws as his tail stood high behind him. He tried to keep his calm face, but felt so much joy in the idea of going out hunting with his mentor, learning new things and smells. It was most likely a failed attempt acting calm and mature the way his feet prodded the ground with claws unsheathed. “Thank you Lilybreeze.” He nodded his head and began to say something else but saw her turning on her way back to her ‘mate’.
Biting his tongue lightly, Shadowpaw turned on his paws and stared at the ground, taking in a deep breath and beginning towards Peachpaw to make his way after his mentor and the rest of the patrol. The hazy blur that he saw from his right eye on his way out of Lilybreeze and Sabrestar showed only discomfort in his opinion.
He could tell how she really felt about the large tom and felt bad, for Shadowpaw also feared what might be going on inside of their leaders mind. Keeping his thoughts to himself as he usually did, Shadowpaw met over with Peachpaw, nodding lightly in uncertainty. He’d talked with the cat a few times before, but didn’t really know him too well as of yet.
Turning as he noticed the trailing sight of sadness that echoed from Peachpaw as he looked over at Swiftwind who made her way quickly towards them in bounding leaps. Feeling his fur ruffle, he looked off into the forest, grunting as Swiftwind began conversation.
He wasn’t one for conversing really, he’d had problems with being social all his kit-hood too, despite the longing to play with the blade of grass or leaf like everybody else. Shadowpaw began to turn carefully, blinking to the ground as he walked a slight bit behind the other two, letting them lead into the forest to find the patrol first.

Lily remained having her head on Sabrestars shoulder, part of her actually felt calm about being there. Maybe it was the fact that his scent was remotely close to Black Thunders, or maybe she felt more secure knowing that he would not just disappear one morning. Really Lily wasn't sure what she was feeling or maybe her feelings her amplified because she was so overworked by being pregnant that she was just being hormonal. Her eyes closed for a moment and she took in a deep breath, she wasn't exactly tired but she just felt the need to at least lay down or something. Her paw pads were sore from even that small of a walk to Shadowpaw and back. Opening her striking blue optics she turned her gaze on Shadowpaw who seemed pleased to go on a patrol. A small yet gentle smile was placed on her lips as she listened to Sabrestar agree with her idea of them going on patrol. Peachpaw seemed pleased as well that Shadowpaw was coming along for the whole thing. She wanted them as far from his influence as possible and some time with Sparrowdash would keep them sane, so she hoped.
Her eyes drifted over to the warriors den as the new warrior Swiftwind emerged from the den, she seemed to have overheard about the patrol. She bite her lip lightly this was Sparrows patrol and she hoped she hadn't over booked him with cats. She lifted her head and turned to look at the handsome deputy. Her gaze and face was apologetic but he just smiled lightly and shrugged it off. Nodding to him she turned her attention back onto Sabrestar. He seemed to be getting up and gently getting her to her paws. She was almost reluctant to move but she eventually got to her paws and started to follow him. "Rest my dear Lily. Our new kits will be here soon, and you look exhausted.."
she tilted her head up at his face giving a slight shrug of her shoulders. "Well tired yes but Im not completely worn out." she mewed gently in her soft soothing voice as she listened to him apologize about not talking to her or seeing her lately. "Oh its quite alright dear, I know things have been hard on you." she mewed softly her tone seemed understanding and warm though behind everything she was lying it wasn't hard at all corrupting others was it? Her silky creamy white coat glistened as she walked beside the tabby cat. Her lobes pointed forward as she was lead back into her den or her prison really. Slowly lowering herself into her neatly arranged nest she looked up at him. "It's so difficult to do things around here without my little brother... I can't believe he just left like that. I've considered sending patrols out to look for him, but you know..." Lily did not react to the mention of his name this time but just nodded. "It must be hard for you losing a family member so unexpectedly." she mewed softly as she tucked her front paws under her fluffy and feminine chest. Her striking blue optics rested on his face as he finished talking about Black Thunder. "Who knows the reason, maybe he realised that this clan life was not what he was looking for after all." she mewed just barely keeping the bitterness from leaking out of her throat. Their eyes locked and she let a sweet smile spread over her gorgeous features. "Stay with me awhile?" she asked her voice was actually pleading if only a little she was so alone inside of the nursery and only every once in awhile did Sparrowdash or anyone come to visit. She curled her feather like tail around her plump body, she wished she knew why Black Thunder left, maybe he realized she was not what he wanted and left. Though the thought hurt her she tried to push it to the back of her mind, emotional distress would not be good on the kits. [/blockquote] [/blockquote][/sub]

"Always, my dear," Sabrestar said softly, though behind the mask of his innocent voice, he was ready to claw at his "mate's" ears. How could she continue to deceive him? Did she not feel the least bit of guilt? It angered the ThunderClan leader, and more than ever... he wanted her to hurt. He wanted Lilybreeze to understand the emotional pain of abandonment... as he had been abandoned by StarClan, by her, and how he turned his back in turn. For a while, his eyes glazed over, hiding the morbid thoughts in his mind for vengeance of some kind. Now, Sabrestar was cruel... very cruel... but he was not heartless enough to kill Lilybreeze. They had, at one point, loved each other after all... though clearly Lilybreeze did not hold strong enough feelings for him to keep them.
"Have you thought of what to name the kits?" he asked suddenly. "Because I would love to have a say in it too. I've always wanted to name one of my own Scorchkit. It screams power, don't you agree? Imagine Scorchkit growing up to become the next leader... what do you think, Lilybreeze?"
He waited in silence as his former mate mulled it over... but in his mind... he couldn't help but wonder if he could make this 'Scorchkit' into a living replica of that. Wouldn't it be the best form of revenge if he could torture his brother's young in front of Lily? Yes, burn the kit. Then the name Scorchkit would fit the feline to a T. A smirk crossed over his face at that thought, and Sabrestar chuckled a bit.
Psychotic. This cat was completely and utterly psychotic, though, to be fair, he hadn't become this way alone. He was... pitiable at best, though perhaps by now, pity was beyond what one could give to Sabrestar. He'd tainted his paws with blood too many times now... corrupted his mind beyond repair... all in the necessity to gain power... and all because his father had grained that thought into his head since he was a kit. Sabrestar remembered that before Wingedheart, the last Deputy, his own father had been second in command.
The pressure to succeed his dad was strong running in both his and his brother, Thornpelt's, veins. It was that ambition that lead Sabrestar to his first murder... and the rest followed shortly after. But no one would ever know that... no one would ever know the guilt he'd felt from doing these sins... how they'd made him into nothing better than a serial killer. Deep down, Sabrestar still felt some regret... but that was at the farthest reaches of his heart, sealed away for all eternity.
