Shrouded in mystery, Prevalence, Oklahoma has become a haven to all creatures of supernatural origin. Most of the town, however is unaware that they live among people who aren't as human as the rest of them. The locals aren't stupid, they just haven't asked enough questions.
Sure, the Peck Mansion has always held some suspicions in the town. It's haunted. People died there. The rumors go on. And sure, some of them may hold some truth. The mansion is still a mystery to the people that live there. It's never had an accurate room count, but it's guessed somewhere around 190 rooms. The house itself is a maze.
Some twenty years ago it was bought. Presumably by the elusive headmaster, who never seems to actually show himself among his own home. Some say he's too busy exploring the house, trying to find all of its secrets. Others say he has a big heart, but doesn't have the people skills to match. Or, perhaps, he is always out hunting down gifted's and offering them an option. He opened the school to all other gifted humans as a sort of boarding school. Or a place to live. This is where your story comes in.
